Baxter’s Mission and Passion Drive Our Impact as a Corporate Citizen

Baxter’s annual Corporate Responsibility Report, just published today, reflects our passion for making a meaningful difference in communities worldwide. 

Responsible corporate citizenship is a clear extension of our mission to save and sustain lives, and it’s fundamental to how we operate. In 2017 we continued to help increase access to care, reduce our environmental footprint, support disaster relief and much more:

• 30% of our energy use from operations in 2017 was from renewable resources, and we reduced absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 17% vs. 2015
• Combined with the giving of the Baxter International Foundation, Baxter donated more than $20M in cash and products in support of humanitarian aid, care for the underserved and other urgent needs
• We advanced efforts to reduce our water usage and increase access to clean water

These are just a few highlights spanning the many ways we’re delivering results, from product innovation to workplace culture.
